The home of a long time Greenwich Village resident, the evolution of this two level home is largely informed by the historic preexisting structure.

With a timeless collection of international art collected by the resident over the years

ANTONIO MATRĒS DESIGN worked to elevate the special organization with new asian-inspired modern items acquired along the ID process.

Paired with the public inviting nature of the living room is a private nook complete with luxury unique objects result of our conversations with the client.

Replacing standard shelving is an exposed dark oak bookshelf housing an antique collection utilized as an installation to honor a close previous resident.

While still remaining the home and character of home lives there, the transformation allows for a more elevated and inviting communal use.
